You can using MIDI Keyboard connected at your soundcard (the MIDI cable IN on the grip OUT of the keyboard).

Select the port of connection of the keyboard (this one must be beforehand installed: under Windows 98 "Configuration panel" - "Multimedia" - "MIDI" - to Add new instrument). When you play a key, the corresponding key on the keyboard in the screen has to change color.

For the keyboards of small size, it is necessary to shoot the option " exact note": the program accepting then the note in any octave.

It is possible to shoot the option "SOUND" to play silently.

The exit of the sound is always made on speakers, it is thus preferable to cut the sound of the instrument (there is a light gap between both).
