Preferences

Preferences can be changed by selecting the Preferences button


Game

Game Type

Normal game
Name the notes as they appear one at a time. These notes will scroll from left to right. Notes must be named before they disappear off the end of the staff
Line game
A stream of notes will appear, one after the other, from right to left. Name the notes in order before they get to the red line at the left of the staff.

Tempo

Choose the speed at which the notes will travel across the screen.

Available speeds are:

  • Largo (slowest)
  • Adagio
  • Moderato
  • Allegro
  • Presto (fastest)

Clef

Clef Types

Choose the clef types on which to display the notes.

Available types are:

  • Treble Clef only
  • Bass Clef only
  • Treble and Bass clefs

Key Signature

Choose the key signature for the staff(s)

Available signatures are

  • No sharps or flats
  • 1-7 sharps
  • 1-7 flats
  • Random -- a random key is chosen at the start of the game.

Notes

  • notes and altered notes (it is possible to select the start note, announced by a green point on the keyboard, by using the keys right and left to work of the trebble or the bass),
  • intervals (with the type of interval)
  • chords (chords of three notes, root position or inversion).

Note Entry

Notes can be entered in several different ways. They are:

  • By clicking buttons representing notes in the top of the screen; for altered notes (it is necessary to click the accidental sign before the note).
  • By using the keys of the computer’s keyboard (A/C S/D... K/C). So that the keyboard functions, it is necessary that the applet is active (contour of the applet become blue).
  • By clicking directly with the mouse, touch the corresponding key to the note on the keyboard at the bottom of the screen.
  • By using a MIDI keyboard connected to the computer.

The game begin by the button "START" or the touch DO3 (in red on the keyboard in the screen).

Score is indicated by bottom bar (red to green).
